The Global Reporting initiative (GRI) is address the repoting of Grenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions within its framework. The annex will be developed in collaboration with the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

The annex’s development is in the early stages at present and GRI is currently asking anyone interested in participating to contact Bastian Buck, GRI’s Technical Development Coordinator.

Once completed the annex will plug what has become a rather obvious omission: the incorporation of GHG emission reporting standards as part of the reporting framework. This can only strengthen the framework and lead to it gaining greater ground within the business community.
